In Gstaad and its surroundings you will find a number of excellent retailers catering to every need – you can find most of them under this link. Daily grocery shopping is best done at Coop, Migros and Aldi supermarkets. In addition Pernet Comestibles offers fine foods from all over the world – not only for those who are homesick or suffering from wanderlust.
For the pleasures of a shopping spree you will be well served not only in Gstaad but also in the larger towns in its vicinity, such as Thun, Spiez or Bern with their boutiques and department stores.
Department stores and smaller shopping centers can be found in Thun (Loeb, Manor, Coop City), Spiez (Hirschi), Interlaken (Oberlandpark) und of course in Bern (Globus, Loeb). The closest large shopping mall is to be found in Bern (Westside, Wankdorf Center). The websites of these towns will provide you with all the information you might need.

Snowsports and winter fun: 250 km of slopes, 58 lifts and cable cars, 10 snow sport schools, 4 snow parks and one ski cross slope, 18 cross-country ski trails, 5 tobogganan runs and 9 airboard slopes, 14 snow shoe hiking trails and many more winter hiking trails as well as 3 ice/curling rinks, horse-drawn carriage rides in the snow, night skiing, ice climbing, heli skiing and paragliding, high-up back country ski touring with mountain guides, lama- and goat trekking, dog sledding, snow kiting and snow golfing, hot air balloon rides and scenic flights, etc.
In spring, summer and fall you have a choice of hiking on over 300 km of hiking tracks and trails with some suited for strollers and some in the high alpine regions as well as everything in between, 150 km of bike trails, 500 km of GPS tours and one e-bike system, an 18-hole golf course, 8 outdoor rock climbing areas and 6 via ferratas, a rope course and an indoor climbing hall, 4 public pools and 5 lakes, summer tobogganing, kick scooter and bikeboard- downhills, horse-drawn carriage rides, lama- und goat trekking, dog sledding on the glacier, 8 tennis courts and 4 beach volleyball courts, river rafting, horseback riding and fishing, hot air balloon rides, scenic flights and paragliding, miniature golf and bowling, indoor badminton und squash courts, a sports center, a movie theater and a lot more.

Your Health: Doctors and Hospitals
Doctors of all specialties can be found in Gstaad and surroundings. The nearest hospital is to be found in Zweisimmen.
Public Transport: Busses and Trains
Gstaad is connected to the railway network of SBB (the Swiss Federal Railway Company), which makes it easily accessible by train from anywhere in Switzerland. Montreux-Oberland-Bahn (MOB), another railway system, connects Gstaad with Lenk and Lake Geneva. The train station is conveniently situated right in the heart of Gstaad, where you will also find the main bus hub (Postauto) for departures to the surrounding communities.
Housing: Apartments, Studios, and Flat Shares
Many of the YourGstaad employers dispose of staff residences close to their hotels. We have, however, also set up a bulletin board to help you find your own flat or room in Gstaad and surroundings. Furthermore the Anzeiger von Saanen, a local paper, may be of help. In addition to Gstaad there are apartments or rooms to rent in the surrounding villages of Sanenmöser, Schönried, Saanen, Turbach, Lauenen, Feutersoey und Gsteig as well.
