Portrait: Barman Thomas
Thomas Garaud has been at the HUUS Hotel in Gstaad since the end of May. Before that, he worked in the same region at the Hotel Rougement. Working at the bar has always been a dream of his. Even as a child, he used to watch his father prepare cocktails for guests. Thomas then wanted to take his father’s place step by step. When he started preparing cocktails with a shaker, he knew that this would become his profession.
Thomas gained his first professional experience in the south of France. He graduated from hotel management school in Nice and then went on to specialise as a barman in Cannes.
Now he definitely wants to stay in the bar and open his own bar one day.
